Finn appointed to Asian Development Bank Board

     Finnish Pasi Hellman has been named member of board of directors in the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from 1.9.2005 onwards. Hellman has started working for the ADB on 1st September as advisor to a Canadian member.
     Mr. Hellman has been working for the Finnish Foreign Ministry since 1995 and has been director of the Investment Fund for Developing Countries program for two years.
     The Asian Development Bank, employing 2072 and established in 1966, has its headquarters sited in Manila, the Philippines. The ADB has 63 member states; from which 45 are Asian and the rest being mainly western countries. The ADB’s largest contributors are Japan and the USA.
