DTCC Delegation at Franco-Siamese War Remembrance Day

The Royal Thai navy invited a delegation from the Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce for a two day ceremony, from 13 July 2012, commemorating the incident at Pak Nam with the French colonial power in 1893. The event was held in cooperation with the civil authorities in Samut Prakan province.

As part of the delegation was Fireexpress General Manager Poul Skov-Petersen, Viking Life-saving Equipment, Thailand Managing Director Morten Halfdan Petersen, Pandora Production President Per Enevoldsen and his wife,  Maersk Line Managing Director Henrik Jensen and Ben Adisti General Manager Consul Stig Vagt-Andersen (Chairman Membership and Foreign Affairs Committee DTCC).

The Danish-Thai chamber representatives had an informal dinner hosted by Ass C-In-C Admiral Amorntep with other senior naval officers and the Thai navy public-private sector club.

They agreed to work together on next year’s 120th anniversary with the aim to develop a strategy and foundation for another 120 years of Thai-Danish friendship and cooperation.
Rear Admiral Praphuetporn, Director General Naval Affairs Department and Mr. Sanguan Rattakamkovit from Prachul fort Society welcomed the Danish participation and look forward to exploring ways of working together in the coming years.
