Nordic movies joined EU Film Festival

The 14th EU Film Festival is held in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, Thailand, between May 26th to June 26th. Nordic movies this year paraded into the 2005 festival. Stared with Tsatsiki Friends Forever-2002 (Tsatsiki – vänner för alltid), a Swedish film directed by Eddie Thomas Petersen. The story is about ten year-old Tastsiki who learned that without friends you are the loneliest person in the world. Starring Samuel Haus, Sara Sommerfeld and Krister Henriksson.
     The Danish film titled Aftermath-2004(Lad De Små Børn) tells a couple’s life after losing their only child in a car accident. Aftermath was directed by Paprika Steen. Starring Sofie Gråbøl, Mikael Birkkjær and Laura Christensen.
     Shades of Happiness-2005(Onnen varjot) is a Finnish film directed by Claes Olsson. The story is a about loving and forgiving. Starring Tiina Lymi, Nicke Lignel and Milka Ahlroth.
     One Way Ticket to Mombasa-2002 (Menolippu Mombasaan) is an Award winning Finnish film directed by Hannu Tuomainen. The film shows a tasteful journey to Mombasa of Pete, a middle-class boy. Starring Antti Tarvainen, Joonas Saartamo, Johanna Rönnlöf.
     The event organized by The Delegation of the European Commission in Thailand in cooperation with the Embassies of the EU Member States, the events organizer aim to bring better understanding of the EU through cultural interaction.
