Matti Pullinen, Deputy General Director of Finland’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ Asia and America Department, and Le Huu Phuc, Chairman of the Quang Tri People’s Committee, signed an agreement of Quang Tri rural development programme in Hanoi on June 10th.
Finland will provide 9 million EUR, while Vietnamese Government is contributing 1 million EUR. The Quang Tri development progrmme aims to improve essential services and developing small and medium-sized infrastructure facilities in Ha Lang, Cam Lo, and Dakrong communes which are the poorest areas.
The third phase of central Quang Tri province’s rural development programme will cover the period from July 2005 to June 2009.
