Vikings In Style

The glittering spectacle of Viking helmets and Scandinavian flags greeted the European Young Professionals on Wednesday as they descended on Stable Lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 8 in downtown Bangkok for a night of Scandinavian entertainment, kindly sponsored by Tiger Beer.
Over 250 people arrived at the event to the tunes of Roxette and Abba as the group celebrated its six month in existence.
‘Seeing all these tall Danes and Swedes looking like Vikings was quite scary at first, but they were really friendly actually and the food and Tiger Beer were just fantastic,’ said Varunee Meemookich, a regular attendee.
At one point during the evening, Nick Jonsson suddenly found himself being pushed, VAllhalla-style, into the pool, but this did not mar the evening
“It was all good fun, though I will have to take the suit to the dry cleaners tomorrow,” the Swede, who is one of the active persons in the lead of the group, said.
The European Young Professionals also announced details of its forthcoming Christmas dinner, which Samitivej Hospital has sponsored for the 2nd December. Held on the lawns of the Royal Orchid Sheraton and with live entertainment by Lee Shamrock, the event promises to be a cracker.
Tickets are limited and available at 1,000 baht each. For more details please visit www.europeanyoungprofessionals.com
