Advance Voting Abroad of Finnish Presidential Elections 2006

In Finland, the round in the Presidential Election is held on 15 January 2006 and the possible second round on 29 January 2006. Meanwhile, Finnish Expatriates can vote for their new president in advance only which will take place at the Embassy of Finland overseas.
         Advance voting abroad is arranged from 4 to 7 January 2006 in the first election and from 18 to 21 January, 2006 in the second election. In several advance polling stations abroad the advance voting period is shorter than this.
         Every Finnish citizen who has reached eighteen years of age on or before Election Day, 15 January 2006, has the right to vote in presidential elections. Valid photo identification (passport) is to be presented. However, the notice of the right to vote is not required for voting abroad.
