Finnish meteorological and aerospace instrument maker Vaisala is to outsource some of the company’s measurement systems division production functions to Malaysia, the company said January 12.
Vaisala is to start talks with the aim of cutting its domestic workforce by 60.
“The financial impact (of outsourcing) is estimated to be a 1.5 MEUR annual improvements in the division’s result, comencing fiscal year 2007,” a statement added.
