Representatives of two Nordic IT companies and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce will go to Philippines next month to explore the country’s potential according to Mary Borromeo-Hedfors, Philippines trade representative to the Nordic region – Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.
“Once these two companies decide to partner with third-party providers here, they will also serve as business consultants for other Nordic companies,” she said.
Nordic companies have recently recognized the Philippines as a potential site for their information technology outsource operation.
She said one Philippine-based transportation company is now assessing mapping and tracking services from one Nordic company and the country already has Colibria, a Nordic software development firm established there.
