The school is a branch of the Swedish owned Lanta Sanuk School in Thailand.
Christina and Søren Siefers are the people behind the idea of the Danish School. They are also responsible for the marketing of the school in Denmark. Christina and Søren moved to Koh Lanta with their two children in August 2006. Their vision with the school is to generate intercultural respect and understanding. Also the school
makes it possible for Danish families to stay abroad for a longer period of time and have their children taught by experienced Danish
teachers.
The island Koh Lanta is situated in the Andaman See in the Southwestern part of Thailand. With its wide beaches and cheep costs of living it is a popular destination for many families with children. The school will open January 7th 2008.
