The website of DABS – Danish Business Association of Singapore – was recently re-designed by CAPS Media, the head office in Johor Bahru of the original creator of the website, Ambient Media Pte. Ltd.
The new website with the unchanged web address http://www.dabs-singapore.com is first of all a more modern looking website. The concept of providing timely information on up-coming events as well as being an easy-to-use telephone directory for members has still top priority. The use of complicated, database driven applications is therefore not needed and good old – and fast loading – html pages account for the bulk of the pages.
A new top menu bar, which opens drop-down sub-menus when the mouse is held over each menu item, is a nice new feature, which makes the website easier to navigate. In terms of graphic layout, the pages strive to stay within a normal computer screen eliminating the need to scroll down on most pages – with the directory pages as natural exceptions.
Advertisers are also better displayed on the website. The main sponsors are today Scandinavian Airlines, Danisco and Santa Fe.
