Five new DTCC board members elected

Close to fifty members of Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce elected a new board with five new members at the Annual General Meeting of the Chamber held on 6 March 2003 at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit.
The new board members are Henrik Friis, Disa; Kristian Strand, Nokia; Santhapat Periera, Tilleke & Gibbins, Peter Romhild, Berli Jucker Specialties and Bent Bjorlin Hansen, XponCard.
Retiring from the board were Charlotte Parks, JewelPurpose; Leo Alexandersen, Pacific Relocations; Peter Linnemann, Maersk; Preben Hjortlund, Schmidt Scientific and Axel Blom, SAS – who had been on the board since 1992 and received a special thanks from President Tom Sorensen for his tremendous contributions to the Chamber over the years.

After the AGM, members enjoyed a dinner with a presentation of Copenhagen and Swedish Surroundings by Copenhagen Goodwill Ambassadors Michael Ascot and Poul Weber – who had earlier in the evening also chaired the AGM.
The presentation was followed by a draw for a free SAS return ticket to Singapore was conducted among members, who had correctly guessed the most popular Copenhagen tourist sights. The ticket was won by Jesper Hansen. New membership card launched Months of work culminated with the presentation at the AGM of a new Membership Card which members received at the entrance.
The new Membership Card in its initial phase will be used to brand membership of the chamber and as a traditional identification. But in the longer term there are also plans for more sophisticated benefits although it is already clear that simple discounts in selected shops and restaurants is not among the options considered.      The design of the card blends Danish and Thai styles in a unique way with traditional Thai silks contrasting the 1958 evergreen designs of the “Eggs” and the “Swan” by Arne Jacobsen.
The machine for personalizing the new membership cards has kindly been donated to the Chamber by DTCC member dz card.
