Tom Huzell, Managing Director of Ikano Singapore confirms that IKEA will open in Bangkok, Thailand the 3rd November 2011.
The land filling is beginning next week and the construction is starting May this year.
The IKEA store will be located in the south-eastern part of Bangkok, more precise at Bangna Trat km 8. The Swedish store will be located at the Megabangna shopping center.
IKEA Thailand is going to recruit 500 staff:
“We are recruiting 495 Thais and 5 foreigners,” says Tom Huzell. The recruitment campaign is starting after Songkran (Thai New Year) this year.
IKEA is already in Singapore, China and Malaysia.
