Göteborg Wind Orchestra on a Busy Tour

Göteborg Wind Orchestra is regarded as one of the leading symphonic wind orchestras in the world. The orchestra was celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2005 and is one of the oldest Swedish orchestras. Besides concerts in Göteborg, the orchestra also performs together with several internationally acclaimed soloists such as the trumpet soloists Håkan Hardenberger, trombone player Christian Lindberg and clarinettist Martin Fröst to mention a few. Göteborg Wind Orchestra last visited China in 2008 and is now touring the country for the second time, from May 20th to 31st.

With several distinguished awards for best selling records within a variety of repertoires such as film music, classical music and traditional Swedish folk tunes, the orchestra has a large number of aficionados.

This time Göteborg Wind Orchestra will yet again play in several cities around China. Their busy schedule includes Ningbo on the 21st, Hangzhou on the 22nd, Ma Anshan on 23rd, Hefei on the 25th Shenzhen on 27th, Tianjin on 29th and finally Beijing on the 30th.
