The Swedish government on May 6, 2010 appointed Mr. Per-Arne Hjelmborn as new Ambassador to Malaysia. Mr. Hjelmborn is currently director of the Economic Section at the Swedish Embassy in Beijing. He has previously worked as Deputy Director at the Ministry’s Department for International Commercial. Per-Arne Hjelmborn has also served at embassies in Santiago de Chile and Madrid.
In the announcement there was no mentioning of what new assignment current Ambassadör Helena Sångeland will be given.
Ambassador Per-Arne Hjelmborn will take up his new posts during the autumn of 2010.
