The Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf arrived in Beijing on Thursday, starting his five-day visit to China.
During the visit, Chinese President Hu Jintao and Vice Premier Li Keqiang will meet with Gustaf. Li and Gustaf will attend the opening ceremony of China-Sweden Innovation Forum and the signing ceremony of some cooperative agreements.
During his stay in Beijing, Gustaf will also attend a banquet celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-Sweden diplomatic ties.
Gustaf will leave Beijing for Shanghai on Saturday to attend the national pavilion day of Sweden at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
