Ole Madsen Celebrated 60 Years

Mr. Ole Madsen, owner of Scaneast Co., Ltd. and co-founder of Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce, was celebrated with a surprise breakfast party at his home on his 60 year birthday Tuesday 18 March.
Dressed in beach style bath robe, Ole Madsen came down to meet the thirty plus friends who had turned up led by Mr. Steinar Poulsen – and a Chinese lion dance troupe arranged by his wife Jaana. Inside, Jaana had arranged a lucious breakfast buffet for all the guests.
Mr. Madsen later in the day used the auspicious moment to launch his latest business project, a software package to conduct private auctions among any company’s suppliers at a fraction of the cost of larger and more clumsy similar systems. The program enables companies to send its suppliers an email with an invitation to log into their auction on the Internet with a special password on a specific time, where the auction will take place for a limited time of for instance one hour.
Mr. Madsen came to Thailand in 1966 where he worked for SGS during his first four years. Then he set up his own brokerage company together with a partner to trade within mineral ore and later agricultural commodities and eventually rice mill machinery and freezers for the seafood industry. A veteran within trading in metals, since 1972 especially iron, Mr. Madsen has over the past few years successfully moved into software development and has – apart from the auction system, a number of other dedicated business programs in the pipeline.
At the breakfast party, a special surprise was the presence of his son Michael who had flown in from Denmark to participate in the festivities.
