It was a remarkable night with Danish residents and visitors in Hua Hin. The first DanCham Networking in Hua Hin was arranged at the Mondo Vino Wine Shop and co-sponsored by MODENA Condos and Pool Villas in Pranburi on the night of 1st January 2011. All guest enjoyed the yummy finger food and non-stop poured white and red wine by Mondo Vino.
Jon Plate, currently the Goodwill Ambassador of Copenhagen, who was the host of this event said: “There are many Danes who permanently live here and some travel during vacation. I believe there are more than 500 Danes in Hua Hin and the numbers are growing. I try to arrange more events this year starting from a small group and later also bigger activities where Danish families can join in.”
“Even I have little time to invite the guests but we have a good response that 20 people show up for the first networking.” He added.
Steve Laursen who just set up Danish Network in Hua Hin said “When I launched huahindk.com, surprisingly 100 Danes sign up right away! Now I am working hard to arrange regularly event of the community. It is great to have networking like tonight and it is the one of the activity lists.”
