AstraZeneca’s new office in Bangkok inaugurated

Last week, AstraZeneca’s new office in Bangkok was inaugurated by a traditional ribbon cutting ceremony. The company has links to both Sweden and the UK, following a merger between the two companies Swedish Astra and British Zeneca in 1999. AstraZeneca is one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies and has been present in Thailand since 1983.

As a true collaboration, the ribbon was cut by both Ms Charlotta Schlyter, Swedish Deputy Head of Mission and Mr Richard Porter, Director of Trade & Investment, British Embassy. Ms Vivianne Gillman, Trade Commissioner/Country manager, Business Sweden in Thailand also attended the inauguration and delivered a statement.
