Danfoss had invited Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther to perform the opening of a big stand at RHVAC – an exhibition for refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning held in the BITEC in Bangkok every year. This year was special as Danfoss was present with the whole range of technology, which the well-known Danish company is offering.

The opening took place on Thursday 13 August 2015 at 11.00 after the opening of the exhibition as a whole.

Ambassador Winther mentioned the pride that he as a Dane took in the success of Danfoss worldwide. In particular, it as significant that the company had managed to operate in the Danish business environment with its many rules and regulations, he said.

“Many companies complain about these regulations and find them too strict, but Danfoss is an example that if you survive them, it gives you an edge that makes you more competitive, because tomorrow your customers will face the same regulations in their markets all over the world,” he said.

Thailand had a lot of potential as well as some obstacles, he said, but he firmly believed that Thai companies needed the kind of energy efficiency that Danfoss range of technology could give them.

The large stand at the exhibition demonstrated the new approach, that Danfoss is taking to the market. The traditionally very vertical structure where the Danfoss staff focused only on products of their own expertise has been replaced with a regional structure where all the different Danfoss technologies are promoted together. This re-invention of Danfoss presence in the market will also be applied on the country level.

Danfoss regional management is located at the head quarter in Kuala Lumpur. Present at RHVAC stand was both Ted Wen, Danfoss President of thee Asia-Pacific Region and Vikas Anand, head of sales and marketing for Danfoss cooling in the Asia-Pacific region, which is on of the most significant of the Danfoss technologies.

Allan H. Jensen, Senior Director and regional head of customer service said that in the Asia-Pacific region, Danfoss was close to living up to its slogan to be involved in everything “from field to fork”. Danfoss cooling technology, valves, filters etc. is instrumental in providing food safety in the dairy, meat, fisheries and other food industries and provide an unbroken and efficient cold chain to the shelves in the supermarket where the consumers pick up the products.
