DCC is very excited to invite you to a tour of the MTR Operations Control Centre in Tsing Yi.
The Operations Control Centre (OCC) is the “heart” of MTR train operations. For 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, staff of the three existing heavy rail OCCs in Tsing Yi, Fo Tan and Kam Tin keep close watch on every train and activity in the network to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable services for the more than four million passengers each day.
This year, the operational control of the entire heavy rail network was moved under one roof, a “Super OCC” at Tsing Yi. The move to centralise was planned as part of the rail merger in 2007. Come see for yourself how the Tsing Yi OCC works presently, and how it is prepared to serve the five new railway lines currently under construction in Hong Kong. An update on the progress of the five new railway lines will also be given.
The meeting place will be:
Tsing Yi MTR Station, Tung Chung Line Concourse (outside the Station Control Room)
When: Thursday 6 June 17.30 – 19.00
