Two thirds of all Danish investors based in Vietnam resides in capital, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a reflection of the potential of the southern economic hub, says Foreign Minister of Denmark, Kristian Jensen.
At a meeting on 12 October Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem stated that Ho Chi Minh City is striving to become a smart city and the financial hub of the region.
Le Thanh Liem urged local authorities to facilitate the implementation of the Danish Active House project – Vietnam’s first energy saving house. With funding from Denmark this will be a milestone in Vietnam-Denmark relations.
Danish investors have a desire to enter the local market of Vietnam and are more than willing to share their knowledge on sustainable urbanisation, Kristian Jensen stated.
Kristian Jensen and his entourage also visited an outdoor woodwork manufacturer in the Binh Duong province, entirely funded by Danish investors.
