Danish national killed in Agusan, the Philippines

A Danish national was killed while his live-in Filipina partner was wounded when unidentified perpetrators attacked them in their house in Agusan del Sur, police said Friday, December 21.

Police Superintendent Martin Gamba, Caraga Regional Public Information officer, identified the victims as Egon Jansoe, 53, and Marivic Plaza.

According to SunStar, initial investigation revealed that while the couple were washing their clothes outside their kitchen in Purok 6A, Barangay San Teodoro in Bunawan town around 11:30 p.m. of Wednesday, the suspects barged into their house and shot the victims.

The victims sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of their bodies and were rushed to Bunawan District Hospital.

Jansoe was pronounced dead on arrival while his partner was referred to Davao Regional Hospital in Davao City for further treatment.

Recovered from the crime scene were three slugs and five empty catridges of caliber .45 pisto.

Authorities are now conducting thorough investigation to identify and capture the fleeing suspects.
