Funds for a long term program by development partners to improve education access have been strengthened with a grant provided by the Danish government.
Denmark will contribute 4 million USD to UNICEF as a part of the Quality Basic Education Program (QBEP).
QBEP, launched in 2012, is a collaborative effort among development partners, aimed at improving opportunities for children to access quality education.
Over the last four years, the program was able to teach 38,000 students in non-formal education, and trained 20,000 primary school teachers.
