The Embassy of Denmark is handling all visa applications to Sweden. From 2 September 2013 the visa application process for Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden will be outsourced to VFS Global.
In order to provide better service and shorter processing time, from 2 September 2013, the Royal Danish Embassy take the opportunity to inform that the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has entered into an outsourcing agreement with VFS Global, Singapore. VFS will from 2 September 2013 handle biometric collection, document control and fee collection on behalf of the Embassy.

By entering into this cooperation agreement with VFS, the Embassy expects to be able to reduce the processing time to 5 working days or so. Naturally, only in cases where all required documentation is presented upon visiting the Centre. In some cases the processing time can be longer due to specific Schengen regulations or Schengen consultation process. The standard and reduced fees set by the Schengen visa code and the authorities in Denmark are unchanged. However, the Centre will charge a handling fee of SGD 47 (EUR 28) per case. In order to have part of the visa case processing transferred smoothly to the Visa Application Centre, staff members from the Embassy will be present at the Centre during the first week of operation.
