NBAS invites members to the NBAS Annual General Meeting 2017, followed by a Breakfast Talk by the successful Norwegian entrepreneur Mr. Magnus Grimeland, Group Chief Operating Officer of Global Fashion Group and Co-Founder of ZALORA.
Digitalization is a disruptive factor that all companies need to be aware of in order to succeed and stay competitive in a fast moving market. Mr. Grimeland will talk about Digitalization in South East Asia – a highly relevant and important topic across industries.

As Co-Founder and Regional Managing Director of ZALORA, Mr. Grimeland was responsible for building and overall coordination of the ZALORA Group in SEA. After the ZALORA acquisition by Global Fashion Group (GFG), Mr. Grimeland is now the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of GFG and responsible for Group activities across all core markets in 27 countries in Asia, the Americas, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Oceania.
Mr. Grimeland is educated at Harvard University. Prior to ZALORA, Mr. Grimeland was with McKinsey & Company for 6 years leaving as Junior Partner, working across North America, Europe and Asia in the global Telco, Media and High-Tech industries.
Before this Mr. Grimeland served within the Royal Norwegian Navy Special Operations (Navy Seals). Mr. Grimeland completed his High School at the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales.

On 22 March 2017 the Swedish Business Association of Singapore, SBAS, will hold their annual genereal meeting. The location will be at Tanglin Club, Raffles Room and will be kicked of at 18:00 and end around 21:00.
On Tuesday 21 March 2017 the Norwegian Church in Singapore, Sjømannskirken, is having a cookery course at Pulau Ubin in collaboration with Cookery Magic, who offers cooking classes in popular Asian and Singaporean Cuisine.
The day will starts at Changi Point Ferry at 08:45, and will end again, back on the mainland around 14:00.
The island Pulau Ubin is located northeast of Singapore and is like a timetravel back to how the country was in the sixties. With good counselling and guiding, Sjømannskirken will take you into the jungle to harvest the herbs for the lunch.
Price is 150 SGD, which includes everything; breakfast, transportation, instructions, ingredients, beverages and of course food.
On Thursday 23 March 2017 at 19:00, Swedish Women’s Educational Association, SWEA, hosts a dinner in a nice and relaxed environment at Zaks Dining & Lounge on Sukhumvit soi 11.
