Fate of missing Finnish diver unclear

There is still no news regarding the 34-year-old Finnish diver, Kalle Johane Rasman, who has gone missing just outside the coast of Indonesian island, Gili Trawangan since Sunday, January 26.

According to The Jakarta Post, the Finnish tourist went diving with his traveling companion, Ingerman Kangsep, and both of them did not resurfaced for a long time, prompting a frantic search by local authorities. Ingerman Kangsep was eventually found safe, trapped in a fish farm a few hours later.

The Finnish Embassy in Jakarta has refused to comment on the latest developments in the matter. It’s not clear if Indonesian authorities are still looking for Kalle Johane Rasman or if they have called off the search.
