Finland’s berry products enter China market

Innovation and technology center Miktech has started co-operation to export Finnish food products to China. The export operations will be carried out in collaboration with the Chinese importer Shenzhen Bilberry Industrial.

Functional foods and berry products in particular have garnered interest in China. The Chinese market is estimated to hold significant potential for organic, low-processed foods. The targeted customer base consists primarily of high-income Chinese women.

Supply agreements have already been signed with the import company and two Finnish farms. Aten Marja-Aitta’s sugar-free berry juices and Vavesaari Farm’s organic apple juice have been exported to China. Both companies are based in South Savo.
