Hong Kong presentation highlighted Green-tech and innovations

Both Finland And Sweden representatives, as key stakeholders, attended a Hong Kong networking luncheon on 10 March with the theme ‘Global Trend of Green Innovations’.

Secretary for the Environment, Mr. Wong Kam-Sing in his keynote speech briefed the audience e.g. on Hong Kong’s new Climate Action Plan 2030+ and the on the development of green-tech in Hong Kong.

It was announced that the annual Eco Expo Asia will highlight Innovative Solutions for Greener Cities on October 26-29.

Consul-General Helena Storm attended on behalf of Sweden and Consulate General of Finland in Hong Kong and Macao, Mr Jari Sinkari give info on Circular Economy plans and on the positive experiences companies had at the Finnish Pavilion last October.

As for Sweden it takes the global battle against climate change seriously. Swedish universities are now even obliged by law to integrate sustainable development into their curriculum, from literature to finance.
