Indonesia’s senior officials to visit Denmark

Ambassador Casper Klynge today met with the Governor and 90 course participants from the National Resilience Institute (LEMHANNAS). 30 of these participants will travel to Denmark in October to visit Danish ministries in order to exchange knowledge and inspiration on leadership, public sector reform and foreign policy & defence issues. indo_denmark_visit

The Ambassador gave a presentation about Denmark and Danish foreign policy. One of the key points he made was that – like Indonesia – multilateral cooperation, through e.g. UN, EU and NATO, is a cornerstone in Denmark’s active foreign policy.

Participants agreed that Indonesia and Denmark, both large maritime nations, has a lot to gain from working even closer together, e.g. on sharing experiences with coastal surveillance, search & rescue and port developments.
