Jarrod Leak appointed to lead Alfa Laval South-east Asia

Mr. Jarrod Leak has been appointed as Managing Director, Alfa Laval South East Asia effective 15 August 2016. He is currently Managing Director for Alfa Laval Oceania, combining his new role in South-east Asia.

Jarrod has 17 years of experience working in the company and was based in Sydney, Australia for six years before relocating to Singapore.

A graduate in Chemical Engineering and Commerce from the Sydney University by qualification, Jarrod has in-depth experience spanning Engineering (Technical), Sales and Marketing, and Management during his career in Alfa Laval.

Since Alfa Laval first entered South-east Asia with a sales office in Malaysia in 1969, it spread its branches to several other neighbouring countries to increase presence in direct sales and service network in the growing domestic markets.

Today, Alfa Laval South East Asia consists of five sales companies in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines and a sales organization in Vietnam. The setup with the service centres in Kuala Lumpur, Bintulu and Sandakan in Malaysia; Pontianak, Pekan Baru, Banjar Masin and Cilegon in Indonesia; Cagayan de Oro City in Philippines; Bangkok in Thailand; and Singapore, and 1 distribution centre in Singapore gives the specialist provider of technologies for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling the possibility to stay very close to its customers and react rapidly to their business needs.

The Swedish company’s equipment, systems and services are dedicated to assisting customers in optimizing the performance of their processes. The solutions help them to heat, cool, separate and transport products in industries that produce food and beverages, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, starch, sugar and ethanol.

Alfa Laval’s products are also used in power plants, aboard ships, in oil and gas exploration, in the mechanical engineering industry, in the mining industry, for wastewater treatment, as well as for comfort climate and refrigeration applications.
