May 2016 Helsinki in Beijing: call for partners

The co-organizers the City of Helsinki and the Municipal Government of Beijing, together with the Finland-China Society and ministries from both countries have announced the upcoming event “Helsinki in Beijing 2016” (working name).

This will be a three-day promotional event in Beijing, celebrating Finnish culture and presenting Helsinki as a destination for travellers, investments and business to be held on 13th to 15thMay 2016. It continues a series of exchanges between Finland and China, most notably Helsinki Festival’s “Focus China” theme in 2015, as well as the 2014 “Pure Finland” initiative in Beijing.

The event is co-organized by the City of Helsinki and the Municipal Government of Beijing, together with the Finland-China Society and ministries from both countries. Mayor of Helsinki will attend the event and related activities.

Companies are cordially invited to join the project. The aim is to provide a platform that organizations with interests in Sino-Finnish relationships can use to promote their business. Companies can become partners, host simultaneous events under the umbrella event, or participate in a number of other ways.

Partner companies will gain unique access to local decision-makers, as well as the citizens of the capital of China. No other city or country has hosted a similar outdoor festival in Beijing, highlighting the commercial potential of the event. Participation can be tailored to individual partners’ needs.
