The annual Human Capital Index report has been published by the World Economic Forum and as usual the Scandinavian countries range in the very top, while most of the SEA-region stays at tepid lower end.
As in 2015 Finland tops the index and all Scandinavian countries figures on the top 10.
Singapore impresses and tops the SEA-nation ranking with a 13th place advancing from a 24 rank in 2015. Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines holds decents position – ranked respectively 48, 42 and 46.

The Human Capital Index measures countries’ ability to maximize and leverage their human capital endowment. The index assesses Learning and Employment outcomes across 5 distinct age groups, on a scale from 0 (worst) to 100 (best), and assesses 130 economies.
