Scandinavian Chef Dinner Menu event on Phuket

The so-called “green season” has once again arrived to Thailand, a, these days, much more diffuse and shorter low season – which is the period’s other description when it comes to tourism.

This is the time when visitors and residents can enjoy what ‘good life’ has to offer at discount prices, and for example some f & b offers that are, so to speak, not really “on the menu” during high season.

One case in point is the by now on Phuket well-established Swedish chef Daniel Isberg, who can now reward customers with some chefs dinners and theme nights that he simply does not have the time for during the high season, when his Phuket Gourmet Catering is simply too busy catering to the needs of primarily the island’s wedding.

ScandAsia recently attended an excellent tapas night at his catering restaurant strategically based in Cherng Talay on the way between Cherng Talay and Laguna integrated resort.

And on 24 May the Swedish chef follows up with a Scandinavian Chef Dinner Menu, taking place from 6 pm until late.

The Scandinavian menu for the night offer choices of 5-course, 3-course and main course dinners, with the follow sumptuous menu to choose from: Asparagus cappucino soup with Skagen crostini; Kalix löjrom (Golden Swedish Caviar) with Västerbotten paj (Swedish cheese pie) & Condiments; Rimmad Lax (Cured Salmon) with creamy dill potatoes with a dash of horse radish, lemon and sautéed spinach; Biff “Rydberg” (Beef tenderloin with sautéed potatoes), onion, red win sauce & cognac cream; and for dessert Apple crumble with home made cinnamon ice cream & vanilla sauce.

Those keen on a Scandinavian night on Phuket must make a reservation via Phuket Gourmet Catering.

The address to the restaurant is 100/19, Bangtao Soi 1, Srisoonthorn Rd., Cherngtalay.
