Swedish Ambassador honoured in Vietnam

Camilla Mellander, Sweden’s Ambassador to Vietnam

On July 15, the Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Camilla Mellander received the “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” insignia at a ceremony in Hanoi. The award was granted by the The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO).

The insignia was presented by Vu Xuan Hong, chairman of the VUFO, who praised Mellander for promoting the bilateral ties between Sweden and Vietnam.

As she accepted the award, the Swedish ambassador pledged to continue her efforts in nurturing cooperation and friendship between the two nations.

The insignia is a state-level award and the highest honour granted by the Vietnamese government to foreign representatives, who have done a remarkable contribution to the countries social, economic and cultural development.
