Swedish Embassy hosts KTH student alumni event

The embassy of Sweden in Singapore has a tradition of regularly inviting Singaporeans who have previously studied in Sweden to meet-and-greet events at its residence.

This time around, on April 16, it was time for the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and its Singapore KTH alumni chapter to be invited, including all students living in Singapore who has previously studied at KTH.

Sweden’s Ambassador Håkan Jevrell welcomed the guests and KTH Deputy President Eva Malmström honoured the occasion by attending at the Swedish Residence evening event. She gave a short presentation about KTH and the KTH Opportunities Fund. This was followed by a presentation by Jake Nguyen, Head of the KTH Singapore Alumni Chapter, who talked about the newly established alumni chapter and their plans for 2015. During the mingling session, current KTH students on exchange in Singapore met with KTH alumni from Singapore and Sweden, which led to excellent networking opportunities and interesting discussions.
