In mid September 2017 Anna Åkerlund, Ghin Shoute and Johan Hallenborg went to Chiang Mai to meet several of the key stakeholders in the peace process in Myanmar.
They also met many civil society organisations working with communities in Kachin and Shan states, several of which are partners to Sweden.
These conversations about peace and the future of Myanmar provide important perspectives to Sweden’s work.
