Thai students to compete in Stockholm Junior Water Prize

The Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) organizes the yearly ‘Stockholm Junior Water Prize’ which draws over 28 countries to join this special event. Stockholm Junior Water Prize focuses on water & environment related projects. The final round of this event will take place on September 2 during the World Water Week [August 31-September 5, 2014] in Stockholm.

Three high school students from Suratpittaya school along with representatives from TTW Plc, Suratpittaya school and the Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) visited the Embassy of Sweden to introduce themselves and their project. The student’s project for the competition is ‘Transforming wastewater from raw rubber sheets production into GBC [gelatinous bacterial cellulose] plastics’.
