Delegations from the EFTA states and Vietnam met from January 14-17 in Hanoi for a third round of negotiations of a comprehensive free trade agreement.
Expert meetings were held for all the covered areas under the meeting round.
Negotiations are still in an early phase and most of the time was used to learn more about the parties’ regulatory systems and ambitions.
EFTA and Vietnam also discussed their respective approaches to market access for goods and services.
Work on these issues will continue until the next round of negotiations, which is preliminary scheduled for June 2013.
