Members of the Danish Church Council, from left Camilla Moller Jorgensen, Marianne Edelmann Krüger, Peter Dalberg, Christa Lund Herum, Bjarne Tvilde and Gregers Moller. Michael Andersen and Uffe Wolffhechel were not able to attend the meeting on 7 November 2017.

The new Danish priest in Thailand, Christa Lund Herum, was welcomed by Mr. Bjarne Tvilde, Chairman of the Danish Church Council at the first meeting of the council on Tuesday 7 November 2017 with the participation of the new – and first – Danish priest to Thailand.

Many of the first tasks of the new priest is of a very practical nature. Currently, Christa Lund Herum lives with a friend, but needs to find a permanent home. The office and the chapel will be at the Church of Christ in Thailand which is located very conveniently between BTS Siam and BTS Ratchatewi in Bangkok, and also here there are a lot of practical issues to be solved.

It is not clear, when the first Danish Christ Service will be able to take place. But as for the long talked about Danish Christmas in Thailand, it was decided, that Christa Lund Herum should contact the Swedish priest, Lars Ryderstad to arrange an incorporation of the Danish priest in the Scandinavian Christmas service in the British Church on Convent Road in Bangkok.
