The Swedish Government has appointed Lars-Olof Lindgren as the new Ambassador to Vietnam. Lars-Olof Lindgren is presently Sweden’s Ambassador to India.
Earlier he has worked as State Secretary for Foreign and European Affairs in the Prime Minister’s office, as State Secretary for Foreign Trade and as Director-General for Foreign Trade. He has served in the Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels, in the Embassy in Beijing and in the Delegation to the OECD in Paris.
Lars-Olof Lindgren will take up his new posting in spring 2012. Until then, Gunnar Klinga will remain as chargé d’affaires of the Embassy in Hanoi.
