Swedish consumer goods manufacturer SCA expects to double sales in China

After acquisition of the Chinese hygiene products company ‘Everbeauty’ in June, Swedish consumer goods manufacturer group Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) expects to double sales revenue in China this year.

Earlier this year, Swedish SCA company paid USD290 million to acquire Everbeauty Corporation in order to expand its product range and to boost sales.

Recently, Stephan Dyckerhoff, president of SCA Hygiene North Asia told Shanghai Daily that the company expects the sales of its tissue and hygiene products to double this year. Combined sales are expected to rise 35 per cent in 2012, he said.

The company plans to introduce new brands in China in the coming years, including tissue and women hygiene products. The company’s goal is to become the largest products supplier in China with a 15 per cent market share by 2015, up from 10 per cent now, Dyckerhoff said.

SCA still looks for merging and acquisition opportunities in China to expand in the fast growing market, the company’s executive said.
