More than 50 persons from over 30 companies came to see the Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s seminar on R&D in Shanghai in connection with the Swedish Innovation Exhibition held on November 7th, 2012. Peter Lundin, Head of R&D North-East Asia for Ericsson spoke about the reasons for betting on R&D in Shanghai. Ericsson has over 4500 in staff in China working with R&D and Peter Lundin was able to share a lot of insight.
Peter Sandberg, the GM of Tobii Electronics Suzhou, spoke about the gains of having R&D in China for a smaller company and could share a lot of experiences regarding the pros and cons for setting up R&D in China. He also took the opportunity to demonstrate some of the eye-controlled technology that Tobii Electronics is manufacturing.
