Delegation from Vietnam joins Vietnam day in Sweden

Stockholm’s City Hall will transform into a piece of Vietnam on Monday 8 November as the building hosts the Vietnam Day in Sweden event.
Among the main attractions showcased are a documentary film festival, an auction of Vietnamese Paintings for charity, a Vietnamese cultural performance, a fashion show and a Vietnamese traditional food festival.
The event is organised to fulfil the commitment of the Kinnevik group and Comvik International Vietnam made during last year’s visit to Sweden by the Deputy Prime Minister, Vu Khoan and the Swedish King and Queen’s visit to Vietnam in February this year. The Vietnam day has also received strong support from the Swedish embassy in Hanoi.
“On behalf of Comvik International Vietnam, I am honoured to have the opportunity to promote the cultural and business ties between the two nations. We shall work closely with the government of Vietnam to ensure that the ‘Vietnam Day in Sweden’ is organised successfully,” says Mr Z.A Zaman, Chairman of Comvik International Vietnam AB to Vietnam Business Forum.
All the activities are designed to demonstrate the unique taste of Vietnam to the Swedish people. During the day, the government of Vietnam will showcase opportunities in investment, trade, export and tourism to the Swedish business community.
A business delegation from Vietnam joins the event. It consists of 24 people, representing pulp and paper, food, textiles, cement, electronics, telecom, media, tourism.
“The government of Vietnam highly appreciates this initiative of the Kinnevik-Comvik group and regard it as an important contribution to improving bilateral relations between the two countries,” says Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh, assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Vietnam Business Forum.
