Denmark’s OW Maskinservice and Vietnam’s Thien Hoa Company have formed a joint venture company to build on the existing business of Thien Hoa – the trading and refurbishment of machinery tonow be combined with highly specialized skills in machine repair and manufacturing of spare parts by OW Maskinfabrik.
With an operational base in Ho Chi Minh City, the objective of this company is to service yield value to customers through quick and efficient repair of machines, minimizing machine downtime and providing a local solution instead of calling in services from abroad – an expensive and time consuming solution. The new company will also undertake manufacturing and installation of industrial conveyor systems.
They will receive support for training and implementation of good practices within occupational health and safety through Danida’s Business-to-Business Program, and the new JV is expected to generate 12 new jobs in Vietnam in 2006 while meeting Danish environmental requirements.
