Danish Crane Company Opens New Factory In Malaysia

Hercules Crane, a Danish hydraulic company in Thailand, has opened a new factory in South Malaysia near Johor Baharu where the company is to produce offshore cranes. The company aims to deliver the first unit in July.
The production facility employs 14 Malaysians and the 3,850 square meter facility is located inside a three acre compound and the factory has its own pier.
Placing the factory in Malaysia was a carefully planned move by Hercules.
Managing Director Lennart Avnby explains: “It is a question of getting in to the market – and in Malaysia you have to be inside the country’s borders to do that.”
He explained that Hercules hopes that Malaysia will prove to be a useful base to cover markets in the Middle East and Russia.
Hercules Crane Co. Ltd. has its headquarters in Chonburi province in Thailand – where since 1992 it has produced various hydraulic lifting appliances.
