Finland Grants Emergency Aid To Central Java

Finland has decided to grant 400,000 Euro emergency aid to the victims of the earthquake of 27 May in Yogyakarta. The aid will be channeled through the Finnish Red Cross and FinnChurchAid. Both organizations will receive 200 000€ each.
The Finnish Red Cross and FinnChurchAid both will deliver the aid through their international and Indonesian partners.
The Finnish Red Cross will support a field hospital in the disaster area.
FinnChurchAid cooperates with Indonesian Christian Foundation for Public Health (YAKKUM) which operates several hospitals around the country. The funds are to be used to provide hospital treatment for victims, to support purchase of food and medicine and tents for the victims.
Finland considers support through the United Nations as soon as their emergency aid plan is ready.
