Small Angels at the Danish Ambo’s House in KL

Recently, the Danish community in Malaysia enjoyed the famous hospitality of the Danish Ambassador and many new faces showed, including the young generation. Initiated by Mrs. Gitte Nordentoft and supported by many mothers, a procession of Danish angelic looking girls got the full attention of all with their Lucia procession and heavenly sounding Christmas carols.
Prior to the entertainment and before the opening of a sumptuous buffet, the Ambassador had under strict order from Mdm Jytte had a brief speech where he managed to mention that of the 25 EU countries; Denmark was the 6th largest investor in Malaysia for the past 6 years.
“The bilateral trade is also growing, for the first 9 months of 2007 the Danish export of goods to Malaysia has increased by 32% and the other way around with 14%, however, the actual figures are in favour of Malaysia ”,  HE Børge Petersen managed to tell the crowd of happy Danes and friends before wishing all Danes in Malaysia a happy Christmas.
Immediately preceding the function, the majority had attended the Christmas church service in Sct. Mary’s Cathedral centrally located in KL.
