Minister of Trade and Industry visits Singapore

Norway’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Ansgar Gabrielsen, will visit Singapore between 24 and 28 January to meet his counterpart, Norwegian companies and various Singaporean organisations with ties to Norwegian business.
     The weekend, 24 and 25 January, will be spent for preparations with the delegation and Norway’s embassy in Singapore.
     His Singaporean counterpart, Mr George Yeo, will receive Ansgar Gabrielsen for talks Monday morning 26 January. After lunch follows a visit to Jurong where the delegation will be informed about underground projects and petrochemical industry in the area. Mr Gabrielsen will later pay the Seaman’s Church a visit before George Yeo hosts a welcome dinner.
     On Tuesday 27 January Mr Gabrielsen’s tight schedule include talks with Singapore’s Transport Minister Yeo Cheow Tong, a lunch meeting with NBAS, an afternoon visit to SPRING and the Nordic European Center and finally a reception at Ambassador Nygaard’s residence.
     Wednesday concludes the visit with a tour at the Maritime and Port Authority, MPA, followed by a lunch meeting with Minister of State, Raymond Lim, who is in charge of entrepreneurship.
     Biopolis, Singapore’s new biotech center, will also be seen by the Norwegian delegation.
     Then finally, before leaving for home, the delegation will sit down and watch a soccer game between Singapore and Norway at the National Stadium.
