Fund for Local Cooperation Allocations

Malaysian Nature Society will have 50 000 euro for upgrading of its MNS-BOH field study centre in Cameron Highlands. BOH field study centre is one of MNS’s many centers providing programs and activities to give the public better insight into the ecosystems surrounding them. BOH field study centre was established as a retreat for nature study and appreciation as well as for quiet relaxation. The centre was set up in 1989 and will now be renovated with the support of the Embassy of Finland.


Wings Melaka will be supported with 40 000 euro, which will be used for refurbishments of its future Young Adult Programme Centre. Wings Melaka is a non-profit organisation providing a range of innovative learning opportunities to children with special needs and their families. Young Adult Programme supports young adults in developing independent living skills. One of the activities supported by Embassy is to found a basic café run by young adults.


ERA Consumer Malaysia is granted 20 000 euro for human rights monitoring, and establishment of a website. ERA Consumer  is a voluntary, non-profit organisation acting as research, education and advocacy group. Since the establishment of the National Human Rights Institution (SUHAKAM), ERA Consumer has aimed to enhance public’s awareness on SUHAKAM roles and functions. This year ERA Consumer will establish a SUHAKAM monitoring website to allow members of the public to raise their concerns and suggestions online.
