Silver for Norway at the 2010 EXPO

The Norwegian pavillion at the World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, China won silver in the cathegory design and architecture for medium sized pavillions.


Norway’s pavillion is made with a structure built with laminated wood, and the only one at EXPO 2010 which is made 100 per cent from wood.


Finland’s pavillion won gold, while Denmark captured bronze in the competition where the prizes were presented by the Bureau International Expositions (IBE).


The Norwegian pavillion has been visited by 3.2 million people during the EXPO 2010 which ended on Sunday.
